About ANDERS When
you are fortunate enough to have three major passions which merge, the outcome
will always be interesting and somewhat difficult to pigeon hole.
Anders was born in Cooma of Norwegian parents, a bi-product of the Snowy Mountains
Hydro Electric Scheme and cold nights in front of an open fire. His birth coincided with the implementation of swing arm suspension through the
Triumph motorcycle range. He developed an obsession with motorcycles, art and music at an early age and the three have remained inseparable.
Anders joined the motorcycle industry in 1970, at a Triumph dealership, and opened Eurotune Motorcycles in 1982, after a break to study the finer points of
painting and photography at the Canberra School of Art. Eurotune Motorcycles was first appointed a Triumph motorcycle dealership in 1985, under the ill fated Harris
Triumph Bonneville, making it arguably the longest serving Triumph dealership in Australia. He has represented the automotive industry at National and state levels on issues
concerned with training for over 20 years.
Anders has exhibited artwork throughout the eastern states of Australia with solo exhibitions coinciding with such events as the
Port Fairy Folk Festival and the Tamworth Country Music Festival. His work has hung as solo exhibitions in galleries of such renound as the Warrnambool
Regional State Gallery and in major Art prizes, such as that once put on by the Commonwealth Bank, at the Link Gallery in Canberra. Many of his pieces have found their way
into the homes of musicians, motorcyclists, collectors and ratbags across Australia and as far flung as Nashville and Ireland.
Motorcycles,
music and art, have always had a strange, but wonderful
inter-relationship, due to the stimulation which each affords to senses
normally left dormant.
From inside the halls of Parliament House, to the dance floors of Tamworth pubs, to pit lane and
race tracks, from Ayers Rock to Birmingham; anywhere Anders can find the excuse to be, his sketch pad will not be far from his hand.
Art works by Anders can currently be found at "The Albert Hotel" in Peel St Tamworth, " The Court house Hotel" Peel St
Tamworth. The "Kootingal Hotel" Kootingal and the "Powerhouse Motorcycle Museum" Tamworth. Also at Eurotune Motorcycles in Queanbeyan.

For that special something Anders will be more than happy to fill the need for a one off authentic and original commission.
